Constructions
GRP constructions are often needed as an alternative to steel, due to its specific properties such as:- Light weight
- Corrosion resistant
- Non-conductive
- Spark-free
For easy engineering, Fiberstruct introduces Intermodules®, a full range of standardized GRP constructions. The Intermodules are a simple and cost effective solution for commonly used secondary steel constructions like:
- Handrails
- (caged) ladders
- Stairs
- Access platforms
- Step-over platforms
- Walkways
Intermodules are made of standardized GRP fire retardant profiles. These profiles are made of premium isophtalic resin.
The flooring is made of Intergrate fire retardant 38 mm moulded GRP gratings. The stair treads are Intergrate 38 mm Safe steps with reinforced anti-slip nosing.
Colour of all GRP material is light grey, except for the handrail system and ladder system which are, near to safety, yellow. Bolting and hardware is of stainless steel.
All Intermodules meet the requirements of the EN-ISO 14122-3&4.
